Sally is driven by a singular question in her professional pursuits: "Will this make a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable people?". Sally forsakes tick-box learning in favour of transformative learning experiences that inspire, motivate, and engage individuals in meaningful ways.
Growing up in a family that provided permanency to 12 foster children, Sally's personal experiences deeply shaped her career trajectory and values. Her professional journey began in a 97-bed hostel in Brighton before transitioning to become a Probation Officer at Kent Probation Service. There, she honed her skills in courts, prisons, and community settings, later moving to Brighton's public protection team.
In 2006, Sally joined forces with Kate Cairns to establish and lead a training organization focused on empowering foster carers and the broader children's workforce. Ever since, Sally has been dedicated to fostering impactful learning experiences that transcend traditional methods.
Residing in Gloucestershire, Sally actively contributes to her local community as a governor and trustee for schools and children's charities. Her extensive professional journey includes roles such as Director at Kate Cairns Associates (KCA), Sales and Customer Services Manager at ALS Akamas, and Training Manager at Akamas Ltd. Sally's earlier career spans significant roles as a Probation Officer across various regions and as a Senior Support Worker at Brighton YMCA.
Her qualifications include accreditation as an Enhanced Thinking Skills facilitator and an Aggression Replacement Training facilitator. Sally holds a Diploma in Probation Studies from Portsmouth University and a B.A. (Hons) in Social Policy & Administration from Hull University.
Driven by her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact, Sally continues to leverage her diverse experiences and expertise to uplift and empower vulnerable individuals and communities.
